This is hands down my favorite book in the world, which is why I feel compelled to review it. The first couple chapters on evolution and phylogeny were a little boring, since I’m not interested in that specifically, but Chapter 4: Shopbop Designer Fashion Brands. Vertebratess have heard people say that Kardong’s writing is dense and confusing but this is the perfect level for a college student.

Biological Design and everything that follows is fantastic. Morphology is foremost, but the author has developed and integrated an understanding of function and evolution into the discussion of anatomy of the various systems.

The evolutionary approach is good and the extra graphics are helpful.
