See 2 questions about Intuition…. Lists with This Book. I think I need to get my breathing under control for a minute before I begin this review The book started off right where I wanted it to, with Reed and Evie and their intense and breathtaking romance.

Then there is Evie gaining even more strength and kicking major ass. The practice fight scene with Reed was majorly hot. She is finally getting strong enough that she might be able to consummate her relationship with Reed and the intense agony of barhol the whole b Wow. She is finally getting strong enough that she might be able to consummate her relationship with Reed and the intense agony of waiting the whole book for this to happen is starting to build in me.

I was getting all excited that the book would be filled with pages of Reed when Bartol reached in and ripped my heart out and sent me into a New Moon tail spin.

But before those of you who hated New Moon for the reasons I did, do not fret, while the agony of not having Reed for a good portion of the book was overwhelming, the frustration and pain was completely worth it and therefore I forgive Bartol. Of all the Twilight books I suffered through, New Moon was the worst although I intiution the movie because of all the wolves which the book just could not capture for me.

However, one would think that if Meyers was going to force us to suffer through an entire book without Edward, we would at least get some sort of intuitlon ending that made it all worth it. But of course no, all we get is some pathetic attempt at an action scene and a lame marriage proposal. I honestly wanted to burn the New Moon book which was a shock to me because I don’t believe in that.

But I was so disappointed and irritated that I had just wasted all that time on a horrid mind numbing book, needless to say I was pissed.

I thought NOOOOO please don’t make me sit through a whole book of Russell talking in his weird twang smy obsessing over Evie and plotting how he will take her from Reed. I wanted to jump through the pages and rip Russell’s heart out knowing I would be helping Reed. I found myself desperately re-reading the chapters leading up to the change just so I could savor a few more pages with Reed. I thought, “What has Bartol done to me?!

I would find myself skimming ahead in the pages to see if I could glimpse Reed’s name I am ashamed to admit that my heart would beat faster and my body tingled when I did see his nameeven if it was just Evie thinking about him.

When we were finally released from the pages that were Russell’s POV I found myself letting out a sigh of relief thinking that it must be coming, any minute now Reed is going to sweep in and save Evie and I.

But Bartol throws another wrench into the story, and now a new villain is standing in my way to finding Reed. So now I am suffering like Evie at the hands of a new evil, and far scarier than Freddie which was nice.

There were some moments when I was able to put Reed on the back burner view spoiler [like when she kicked some major Gancanagh ass in the fighting ring, or when she played him at his water game or when Alfred got his head ripped off and she loved it hide spoiler ] but half way through the torture that Evie and I were going through at the hands of the Gancanagh I found myself in tears, feeling the same desperation that Evie felt view spoiler [at possibly never seeing Reed again hide spoiler ].

I actually threw the book down and got up and thought to myself, “get your shit together Sanette! It’s a book for christ sake!

I was livid, Brtol was so angry that Bartol would take a page out of Meyer’s book but then it hit me, where Meyers failed miserably, Bartol succeeded. While Bartol made me suffer through all these pages without Reed, I was not suffering because her writing was atrocious and sounded like a 12 year old wrote the book or that the characters where insane and acting pathetic or that the current male was not a totally pussy being walked bartop over amg a girl who did not love him, no thats not why I was suffering at all.

I was suffering because her writing is AMAZING and her characters are so life like, so strong and funny, vulnerable and loyal that I was actually experiencing the pain, joy, love and fear with them as they traveled through this incredible journey. I was shocked, other than A Discovery Of Witches I have yet to read a book that brought ituition such intense emotion in me, and isn’t that what sets amazing storytellers apart from the twilights of the world?

I mean I actually had the same butterflies that Evie would have when Reed would enter a scene. I found myself falling head over heals in love with a character from a book!

Book Review: Intuition (The Premonition #2) by Amy A. Bartol

I realized I was becoming Evie and going through all the emotions she was going through. Then the ending came While I am heartbroken that I now have to wait for the third book to come out, I have this ending to hold onto and it made all the agony that was the middle of the book completely worth it.

It will not disappoint. I miss Evie gartol Reed but since they have taken up a staring role in my dreams at night when I close my eyes, I only hope it will be enough to help me survive till the third book comes out. Mar 20, Tanja Tanychy St. I’ll try to mark all the spoilers here, but if you haven’t read intuitino book one and you’re planing to then don’t amh my review. Here goes intuihion rest of the story, so shall we?!

Like I said the book one finished with our love triangle.

Intuition (The Premonition, #2) by Amy A. Bartol

So yes, now that another boy Russel is angry on our little girl Evie cause in the meantime she transformed him into view spoiler [an angel as well hide spoiler ]. She is left with “the love of her life” Reed he is the hot angel if you’re confused and so life goes o I’ll try to mark all the spoilers here, but if you haven’t read the book one and you’re planing to then don’t read my review. She is left with “the love of her life” Reed he is the hot angel if you’re confused and so life goes on.

In the meantime they have some troubles but nothing that big-guy Reed can’t handle. That’s the point when this book was good, relaxing and readable. Now comes the most annoying part in the whole book.

It’s story told form Russel’s point of view. Dear lord, that part was too much, too much of everything, too much descriptions, jealousy, repeating the story and so on. Luckily it wasn’t long. Evie decides to run away from Reed, because she doesn’t want him to get hurt, although he told her like a billion times that he’ll sacrifice himself if anything happens to her!! And that’s not all, she decides to take Russel with her!! Yes she wants to protect him, but she somehow thinks that they’ll be safe alone even thought the whole army of creatures is after her!

Tell me about it! So they manage to do what they’ve planed to. For some time, they’re doing good job with hiding, but of course just for some time. In case you’re wondering what are they: They were faeries once but they were transformed into Gancanagh which is some sort of a vampire, they have fangs, drink blood and all that!

Their leader I can’t remember his name right now something with B, but it doesn’t matterso he falls in love with Evie! Yes now we have love four-angle, because love-triangles are too mainstream! After they get away and everything, new trouble is in the air! Alfred, her old-ex-friend who is bad guy btw, told her that and of course she believed him.

She is going to some sort of council to try to save him or to sacrifice herself or whatever. Apparently, he is not dead, he saves her life and they’re free to go. Council intended to kill them, but they’re in love. I mean who can resist eternal love? So they’re gone to live happily ever after! Of course it does. Those are Shakespeare’s words! I’ll say this one more time, I really wanted to enjoy this book. I tried but I couldn’t.

I hope that I’m the only one. Idea of this story is not bad, only Evie is probably the worst female character I’ve ever seen. View all 14 comments. Aug 22, BookHeroin rated it liked it Shelves:
